Build a Christmas paper house village
Paper houses are one of our best-selling craft lines. This Christmas bundle has five houses (gingerbread, candy cane, evergreen, snowman and Santa red), each with a wall, cone roof, base and decorations, in colour and black and white. Kids colour, cut, roll and glue, then line the houses up into a little village.
Make Princess & Prince paper crowns
This is our best-selling crown set: five princess and prince designs with extension strips, so every crown can be trimmed to fit. Kids colour and decorate, cut along the outside lines, then a grown-up helps attach the strips with glue or tape. Print on cardstock at 100% and check the test square first.
Make a five-finger prayer fan
This is our best-selling Bible craft. Each child colours the hand shapes, cuts them out and glues them to a jumbo craft stick, then uses one finger at a time as a simple prayer prompt. It comes as one colour page and one black-and-white page, ready for Sunday school or home.
What each craft is like on the day
| Craft | Kids do | Grown-up help | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Christmas paper houses | Colour, cut, roll and glue a house with a cone roof | Rolling cones and gluing small pieces | Classroom villages, long sessions, Christmas |
| Princess & Prince crowns | Colour, decorate and cut a crown | Fitting the extension strips | Birthday parties, dress-up, class celebrations |
| Five-finger prayer fan | Colour and cut the hands, glue to a craft stick | Cutting for little ones | Sunday school, children's church, prayer time |
The paper houses take the longest, because every house has a wall to roll, a roof to form into a cone, a base and decorations. Plan a long session, or colour one day and build the next. A row of finished houses makes a lovely Christmas display for a classroom shelf.
The crowns are the quickest route to a happy party table. Kids colour and decorate first, then cut along the outside lines. Keep a grown-up at the end of the table with tape or glue to attach the extension strips and trim each crown to fit the child wearing it.
The prayer fan is the simplest of the three, with one colour page and one black-and-white page. Children colour the hand shapes, cut them out and glue them to jumbo craft sticks, then use each finger as a prompt for a short prayer. It is a gentle way to end a Bible lesson.
Set up the table before the kids arrive
Print a test page first. The crown listing includes a test square, so check it measures correctly at 100% before you print a whole class set. Cardstock or thicker paper holds its shape better for crowns and houses.
Put out only what the next step needs. Crayons first, then scissors, then glue. Keep each child's pieces together on a paper plate or tray, so roofs and strips don't get mixed up between makers.
Make it free today
No printer handy? Draw a simple crown band or a hand outline on plain paper and let children decorate it. It is free, it uses supplies you already have, and you can print the full craft another day.
For a whole term of crafts, you can also prepare a custom curriculum request and discuss it with us through Etsy messages.

Is the craft picker free?
Yes. The picker is free and nothing you choose is sent anywhere. The three crafts it recommends are separate Etsy downloads you print yourself.
