Christmas Classroom Craft Station Ideas

Set up three Christmas craft stations: character assembly, wreath decorating and torn-paper pictures. Give each table its own supplies and arrange adult cutting help before children choose a station.

Give each table one clear job

The Build and Glue bundle includes Santa, Snowman, Elf and Reindeer, with four black-and-white pages and four pre-coloured pages per paper size. Use this table for assembling separate parts into a recognisable character. The small finished-character example on each page gives children a reference.

A wreath table offers a different choice. Children arrange decorations around a base rather than copy one finished picture. The Christmas wreath download has eight activity pages across its black-and-white and coloured versions. Print the base and the decoration sheets you plan to use.

The torn-paper table can stay focused on filling an outlined shape. Its ten black-and-white designs include a wreath, mittens, a bell and a snowman. Put coloured paper nearby for children to tear and glue.

Prepare separate supply trays

Use this suggested setup to reduce trips between tables:

The wreath listing recommends adult supervision with scissors. The torn-paper listing also recommends supervision with craft materials. Decide how that help will work for your group; a printable does not remove the preparation.

Show the sequence before children choose

Demonstrate one character by arranging its pieces before gluing. At the wreath table, lay out decorations loosely first so children can change their minds. At the torn-paper table, show tearing a piece and placing it within the outline.

Offer the pre-coloured character and wreath pages when the group wants to concentrate on assembly. Keep black-and-white pages available for children who want colouring to be part of the activity. These are choices within those two downloads; the torn-paper bundle supplies black-and-white outlines.

Plan a finishing area

Reserve a place for work to rest after gluing. Ask children to add their names before pieces become harder to handle, and keep unfinished work with its loose parts.

You do not need every child to visit every table. One completed choice can work better than several partly assembled crafts. Before printing the whole set, make a sample of the station you expect to need most adult help with. That trial will show where your particular group may need support.
