How to run it in Sunday school
Read each question aloud and let children answer together, or split the room into small teams with one Bible per team. After each answer, read the verse in the explanation. Older children can race to find it, and younger children can listen for the key word.
Each round picks 10 of the 24 questions, or choose All 24 for a longer quiz. The questions cover Creation and Noah; Moses, Hannah and Samuel, David, Ruth, Daniel and Jonah; and the Christmas story and Jesus' teaching. Play one round this week and another next week.
| Group | Try this |
|---|---|
| Ages 4-6 | Read two options only, and let them point to the answer |
| Ages 7-10 | Play in teams and look up each verse |
| Mixed ages | Pair an older reader with a younger child |
Add a craft that matches the story
Children remember a story better when they take something home. These printable Sunday school crafts match questions in the quiz.
Our best-selling Bible craft is the five-finger prayer fan. Children colour, cut and glue the hands to craft sticks while they learn a simple prayer prompt for each finger. It fits well after the question about the Lord's Prayer.
After the Hannah and Samuel questions, make the stand-up cone craft of Hannah holding baby Samuel from 1 Samuel 1, with a bonus young Samuel cone for 1 Samuel 3.
For the story of the lost sheep in Luke 15, little ones colour the scene and glue cotton balls onto the sheep's wool.
In December, the Nativity lanterns show Mary and Joseph's journey, the angel and shepherds, the stable with baby Jesus and the wise men on four panels.
