Summer Cut-and-Paste Crafts for a Table Activity
Set up a summer cut-and-paste table with a lemonade picture, a folded paper popsicle or a sandcastle scene. Choose the finished format first, because these downloads use different paper sizes and assembly steps.
Arrange a lemonade picture
The lemonade craft has a large cup base and separate lemon slices, ice cubes, mint leaves, bubbles, a straw and labels. Children arrange the paper decorations before gluing them onto the cup.
Four pages in each A4 and US Letter PDF provide a coloured base and pieces, plus black-and-white alternatives. Colouring can be a separate first stage; the pre-coloured version lets the session focus on choosing an arrangement.
The listing recommends adult supervision with scissors and printing at Actual Size / 100%. Cardstock or a thicker backing is suggested for a sturdier result. This is a paper picture for display or pretend play, with no drink supplied.
Fold a paper popsicle
The popsicle set has five black-and-white US Letter pages. Each design includes front and back pieces, toppers, printable stick templates and a one-inch test square.
The stated process is to colour, cut, fold the body at its centre line, attach toppers and a craft stick, then press closed and let dry. Check the test square before cutting and keep the stick stage on your preparation list.
As a table arrangement, put colouring supplies at one end and reserve a place for joined popsicles to rest. This craft has a folded front and back; do not prepare it as though it were the lemonade's flat base-and-decoration task.
Make a beach scene on A4
The sandcastle download supplies eleven A4 pages, including castle pieces, a beach background, decorations, mini crafts, an activity page and a story-writing page.
Children colour the pieces, cut dotted outlines and paste the castle onto the background. Choose the main scene pages before adding the bonus writing or counting work. The extra pages are options for extending the session, rather than steps required to finish the castle.
The listing recommends regular paper for colouring pages or cardstock for craft pieces. Do not assume this A4 download supplies the US Letter format listed for the popsicles.
Keep the choices easy to manage
Try this preparation sequence:
- Select one craft and check its paper format.
- Print a sample of the pages you will offer.
- Gather the adhesive, colouring tools and any stick materials.
- Arrange cutting help for your group.
- Label a collection space for work that is still drying.
For a mixed table, place each download's pages in its own tray. Children can choose a craft without sorting through unrelated decoration pieces.
